Marcolin Eyewear

Marcolin Eyewear are an established eyewear company that deal in high end glasses. Originating from Italy and established as one of the leading eyewear companies they are a business looking to expand further into Europe. Their new office in London, England makes it a prime location to set up a nationwide head office as they look to break into the UK market. 

Business Needed

Marcolin acquired a new office in Old Street, Central London and needed a new workspace for the managers and sales team, a meeting room for presentations, a manager’s office and a kitchenette. Marcolin reached out to the team at UK Racking Ltd due to strong recommendation of another eyewear company in the area, we were then required to go through with the designing elements of how they wanted there desired workplace to look to best suited the staff at Marcolin. They wanted a warm and open plan office to ensure a friendly and efficient workplace.

UK Racking Solution

Upon our first design stage we aimed to completely over haul and rewrite there desired office space from their initial needs. It a case of small tweaks to make the workspace flexible and fully utilizable to Marcolin. One of the design t pre-requisites Marcolin needed is shown by the minimal dividing walls between staff and even managers offices. and also an open area for the kitchenette for the too socialize, there are not many rooms implemented into the building with the exception of the meeting room and kitchenette.

Although the office space is very much open plan it was crucial for the designated teams to be around each other over seen by one of the managers e.g. Finance team and finance manager.

The Result

The UK Racking Ltd team became the forefront for the whole fit-out process, we were made to consider what workspace Marcolin desired, a multi-functional and open plan workspace taking the full consideration of the staff needs and wants whilst still making the office space neutral, modern and aesthetically clean. Overall as the office space will be used for its intended use, it also reflects the very products that Marcolin eyewear supply.
